What is the ruling of the hand shaking after the fard prayers? (332 Views)

Question.

What is the ruling of the hand shaking after the fard prayers in view of the Noble Shariyyah?

Answer.

When a muslim meets another muslim it is Mustahb (preferred) to hand shake, but there is no evidence to hand shake after the five daily fard prayers in the shariyya. In fact this remains a practice of the Rawafidh (a misguided sect). This is why the learned scholars have written that the hand shaking after the fard prayers is Makrooh (undesirable) and Bida’ah (innovation). At this point, the issue should be understood that nowadays, the fashion of shaking only with one hand is totally incorrect. It is a Sunnah to shake with two hands.
